Dear readers,
Well, much water has flowed under the bridge since last we corresponded. Thanks to the good folks at Hunton Andrews Kurth, Accounting Accuracy LLC (founded by Donnie Oliver of Richmond, VA), Zach at Wagon Wheel Web Design, and the branding firm of Bloom + Brilliance, The John Dos Passos Institute is a 501c3 per the U.S. government, our URS charitable registration form has been submitted, and we’re ready to roll!
All we need is a place in Westmoreland County to hang our hat. We’re looking for an acre or so of land that perks, near a main road, to set up shop. Do you know of someone who’s got a little plot, not in the best shape, who would be willing to donate in exchange for a tax write-off and the eternal gratitude of our Board of Directors and community members? If so, please reach out to contact@johndospassos.institute.
If you’ve visited the website, you know we’ll offer adult education, community events, school trips, teen mentoring, career guidance, and more…it’s a great program to be involved with! Stay tuned for volunteer job descriptions, as well, since volunteers and interns will be the heart of our operation.
With appreciation,
Lara dos Passos Coggin
