Dear readers,
Do you ever feel like the paperwork has you by the tail? Well we here at JDPI are working with a Realtor, a surveyor, the DEQ (it turns out part of the Coles Point Road lot under contract is an inland isolated wetland), the VA Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and Westmoreland county administrators to fill out and sign and date and pay for a wide variety of papers, permits, and proposals. The silver lining? One day, all these papers will be done, and there will be a lull before they all need to be renewed.
I appreciate the support folks have offered in the form of future donations, and once the charitable donation form clears, I anticipate joyfully accepting those! On your end, you can look forward to some changes to the website as our logo and brand come online, thanks to the work of Bloom + Brilliance (indigenous and women-led design firm) and Wagon Wheel Design.
Warm regards,
Lara dos Passos Coggin
p.s. If any of you are wetlands experts, please reach out; I want to hear from you!
